About Me

Author of Altar Boy, a Story of Life After Abuse. An enthusiastic, committed, creative professional who is passionate about making a lasting difference for children. Spent over15 years campaigning for the safety, welfare, and protection of children and was the first person in Ireland to go public about clerical child sexual abuse in 1995. Persistent campaigning since then contributed to the Commission of Investigation and subsequent Murphy Report into the handling of such abuse in the Archdiocese of Dublin over the period 1975 to 2004. The Report was published in November 2009.

Work experience spans over 13 years as an IT Trainer and Consultant with proven achievements in developing and delivering IT training programmes at all levels, in both the Public and Private Sector. Possesses strong project management and communication skills and is regarded as a high-energy leader with a reputation for integrity.

Excellent media, communication and presentation skills, comfortable working in a challenging environment and works well collaboratively with others. Has a keen awareness of factors impacting on and issues facing vulnerable children and is now seeking an opportunity to develop and manage children’s advocacy services to government, regulators, voluntary groups and others.
